Will turning on a combination boiler affect a pipe that has been leaking?

A pipe going to one of the radiators in my house was leaking last night, i tightened the valve and this stopped the leaking, I now want to turn my boiler on though, and am worried this will affect the pipe and cause it to leak again. Does anyone have any advice?
