Traction problems on a lincoln mark8?

My Mark 8 loses traction and activates it's anti-skid program every time i accellerate quickly... should i deactivate the antiskid, or put wider tires on the rear end? I know wider tires will give me better traction, but the antiskid on the car shuts down the ignition to 30%.
