Why does it seem like Jews are much less into religion than Christians and Muslims?
It seems like being Jewish is more a cultural/ethnic thing (whether Ashkenazi or Sephardi) than it is a religious thing. Most Jewish people I've met don't seem as absorbed or as reliant on the idea of religion to get them by. I've gotten the vibe the majority of Jews in Israel were Atheist/Agnostic when I traveled there and spoke to people about it. Even virtually every rabbi and Orthodox Jew I met never denied evolution. That is hard for even a Christian who doesn't even regularly go to church in the US to do. It seems like they are a lot better at drawing the line between reality and BS. European Christians/former Christians seem to also. Now I know most in the Muslim world are so sucked into their ideas that they are hopeless. How can Christians in the US and on the western hemisphere follow their model of making religion more useless and less necessary?
