Geckos' , preferably Leopard.?

I just got interested in gecko's. Like 5 minutes ago. :D ( I mean, i've always liked the little pond lizards, but thats besides the point. ) Thing is, I want to buy one. I hear they're about $20.00 , i'm good with that. and I was told with all the supplies it's about $70. Im good with that too, ha. Anyway. In my situation, the closest place to buy food for this thing is about 45 minutes away. My mom wouldn't go to the pet store me as often as I would need for him to have enough food. :( So do they have pet food? Like, pellets or something? Also, should I use sand, a rug, or pebbles? What am I going to need? Like, a house thingy, food bowls, and a heater and such. Or do I even need one? :o Haha, idk. Tell me all I need to know about raising geckos, and the price range for food weekly please. (: < 33
