Do churches regularly stand against progress because every step forward further reveals them as frauds?

They have often stood against ethical milestones for racial minorities, women, ual minorities, animals and the environment. And why? Because those things were bad? No; simply because those things further undermined their pretended authority. Now THAT'S criminal.
