I am having trouble with my ipod?

i recently jailbroke my ipod touch. After i realized it was a mistake i tried to reset my ipod and erase everything off of it. it took about an hour to erase everything then it gave me the screen saying it needed charged. I plugged it into the computer to charge and the apple logo came up and after about 15 seconds a little loading circle appears below the apple logo and eventually stops going around in circles. after a while the screen will flash and this will repeat with the apple logo reappearing. i have also tried wall chargers
